The Ex Games

The Ex Games by Jennifer Echols...

Hayden and Nick used to be a hot item, but their brief affair ended with a highly publicized breakup. Now the two are "just friends," excluding the occasional flirtation.
When Hayden wins the girls' division of a local snowboarding competition, Nick is unimpressed, claiming that Hayden wouldn't have a chance against a guy. Hayden calls Nick's bluff and challenges him to a head-to-head boarding contest. Their mutual friends quickly take sides, the girls on Hayden's and the boys on Nick's, making for an all-out battle of the sexes. This friendly competition is bound to get heated -- and they might end up igniting some old flames.

I have loved Jennifer Echols since going too far. Little did I know that she wrote the Ex games, until after I finished it. Usually the Simon Romantic Comedies are really good or really bad! The Ex Games was PERFECTLY AMAZING! This is one of my new favorites! I really liked how the plot develops. It’s not rushed and forced, and although I thought I knew what was coming, Echols always surprised me. The whole story line is so cute. Hayden and Nick’s interaction was perfect and their arguments and Make ups ( wink wink) are so steamy!!! Plus the whole competition just add a great element to the book. Also since I am from a snow state, I adored the snow setting and winter love. I really do like summer, but winter love just makes everything much more romantic! Besides the two main characters the side characters were really well though out. All of their personalities came through and it just made this book even better! LOVE LOVE LOVED THIS! The Ex Games is perfect for our approaching winter season:)

Synopsis-Lily Sanderson has a secret, and it’s not that she has a huge crush on gorgeous swimming god Brody Bennett, who makes her heart beat flipper-fast. Unrequited love is hard enough when you’re a normal teenage girl, but when you’re half human, half mermaid like Lily, there’s no such thing as a simple crush.Lily’s mermaid identity is a secret that can’t get out, since she’s not just any mermaid – she’s a Thalassinian princess. When Lily found out three years ago that her mother was actually a human, she finally realized why she didn’t feel quite at home in Thalassinia, and she’s been living on land and going to Seaview high school ever since, hoping to find where she truly belongs. Sure, land has its problems – like her obnoxious, biker boy neighbor Quince Fletcher – but it has that one major perk – Brody. The problem is, mermaids aren’t really the casual dating type – when they “bond,” it’s for life. When Lily’s attempt to win Brody’s love leads to a tsunami-sized case of mistaken identity, she is in for a tidal wave of relationship drama, and she finds out, quick as a tailfin flick, that happily-ever-after never sails quite as smoothly as you planned.

The Comeback

The comeback by Marlene Perez...
Sophie Donnelly is one half of the most popular and powerful couple in school, until new girl Angie Vogel shows up and compromises everything. Angie steals Sophie's starring role in the school play, and, worse, her super-popular boyfriend. Sophie has been quickly dispatched to social Siberia, but not for long--she'll do anything it takes to make a triumphant comeback.

The comeback by Marlene Perez is really short. Also it is about a mean girl Sophie. She has everything, the superhot boyfriend, the lead roles, and the perfect life; that is until it is taken from her. After being dropped from the social status everything goes wrong. It was cringe worthy to see what Sophie did to people. She showed fat girl pictures of the girl she hated and called people Fat Bitches to their faces. Although the author tries to show that Sophie really does have a soft side, I just couldn't shake off her image. Even after everything goes wrong she still doesn’t change until the very end of the book. Other than Sophie, I loved Dev, a main character is a total hottie. He stands up for Sophie, even when she is being a cruel person.

Poseur: Pretty In Pink

Poseur:Pretty in Pink by Rachel Maude...

Poseur's hot new handbag captures Hollywood tastemaker Ted Pelligan's eye, and now everyone's atwitter. Will those delicate straps hold his attention? Or snap under the strain...To prove their worth, fashion foursome Melissa, Charlotte, Petra, and Janie must a) dangle their bag on celebrity armage b) sneak into the most anticipated event of the year, and c) convince the paparazzi to point their Canons. And all without couture-competitor Vivien Ho noticing.Yeah, right.Get ready to rumble, baybees! A party's not a party until something--or someone--breaks.The juicy new series from the publisher of the national bestselling series Gossip Girl, The Clique, The It Girl, and The A-List.

The poseur series by Rachel Maude is very unique. Okay it’s not that unique, it’s the same as all chick-flick novels, boy crazy, girl drama and all. But the one thing so cute about this series is how there are little cartoons and drawings every couple of chapters. These cartoons are of the characters, and it really helps you create an image in your head. I think that is so fabulous and fresh. This 3rd book in the series though wasn’t my favorite as the first two. The characters and chapters seemed really scrambled and quick paced. I do love however how we got to meet a new character; a famous designer Ted P. Also how the little mystery evolves. Such a faced paced read about, teen designers/High school students, with a dash of love mixed in!

Review: Suspicion

Suspicion by Kate Brian

Forbidden fruit...
Reed, Noelle, and former Billings Girls Kiran and Taylor have been living it up on St. Barths over winter break. The tropical sun has melted away all the tensions of last semester, and for the first time in months, Reed is happy. She's got her best friends by her side, she has a palatial suite with an ocean view, and she's landed Upton, the most sought-after guy on the island.
Reed is falling in love.
But dating Upton makes Reed St. Barths' highest-profile guest -- and not in a good way. Upton has a dark past, and he's broken a lot of hearts. One of his exes still wants him. And she'll do whatever it takes to get Reed out of the picture.

OMG!! Let me just say that I know sometimes I say that certain books are now my all time five, but I have been lying. Kate Brian's Private series is my all time Favorite! Forever and always. Kate Brian is truly amazing and no one can live up to her! Her writing is so witty, clever, romantic, and always keeps you in suspense! This book, suspicion was no excuse! On the romantic side-reed and Upton’s relationship deepens, and you can’t but fall head over heels for this English throb. Also Suspicion is very new in many ways. All of her books have a certain mystery, but this one the mystery is happening directly to Reed. Without giving away too much, you see her struggle and having to solve her own mystery!!! Overall I love love this Series and I will reread it again and again! Suspicion doesn’t disappoint-and this might be her best book yet!

Review:Dont Judge a Girl By her Cover

Dont Judge a girl by her cover by Ally Carter...

When Cammie "The Chameleon" Morgan visits her roommate Macey in Boston, she thinks she's in for an exciting end to her summer break. After all, she's there to watch Macey's father accept the nomination for vice president of the United States. But when you go to the world's best school (for spies), "exciting" and "deadly" are never far apart. Cammie and Macey soon find themselves trapped in a kidnappers' plot, with only their espionage skills to save them.As her junior year begins, Cammie can't shake the memory of what happened in Boston, and even the Gallagher Academy for Exceptional Young Women doesn't feel like the safe haven it once did. Shocking secrets and old flames seem to lurk around every one of the mansion's corners as Cammie and her friends struggle to answer the questions, Who is after Macey? And how can the Gallagher Girls keep her safe?Soon Cammie is joining Bex and Liz as Macey's private security team on the campaign trail. The girls must use their spy training at every turn as the stakes are raised, and Cammie gets closer and closer to the shocking truth..

Let me just say I am obsessed with spy books! Especially Girl-power spy books! And this series is just certainly that! This is the third book in her series, and I think their should be 5 more but I’m not sure! I love how this series is placed in a spy school that is for Exceptional young women. All the characters are extraordinary and so much fun to read! We are introduced to a new character-Cam's Aunt! Who is Strong willed, and always knows what is going on. She also has a kick-ass-girl-power side which is fun to see. This one wasn’t my favorite though! You know how when you read a series an author kind of sums up what was in the other books. ALLY Failed to DO this!! I had no idea what was happening at some parts, and it would have helped allot if there was a recap! I didn’t even remember some of the characters until the end of the book, which is so sad, because an author shouldn’t make that mistake. When a book is released 1-2 YEARS after the previous one-there should be a recap! Just my opinion!! Anyways sorry about the rant! But DJAGBHC just didn’t compete with my standards-sure it was fun and light, but defiantly not enough spy action or secret spy stuff!! There could have been so much more with the plot! Hopefully Carter delivers on the next one!!! Still make sure to check out this beach read!!
