Summer Girls

Summer Girls by Hailey Abbot....

In SUMMER BOYS, Beth, Ella, and Kelsi ruled Pebble Beach. Now it's time for 3 new girls to rock the summer
.

JESSICA: Liam is the cutest guy I've ever seen and he loves the beach as much as I do. So how do I show him I'd make a better girlfriend than friend?

GREER I could be tanning on glam French beaches, but instead I'm "family-bonding" in Maine. At least the boys are hot - especially Brady. So what if he has a clingy ex-girlfriend?

LARA: Just my luck. I've fallen hard for the one boy who's totally off limits. If only I could stop kissing him...

First off Let me just say i absolutely love this cover, its so..... sexy summer! makes me CRAVE summer!!! yumm!!!! Also i am in love with Hailey Abbot, i love all of her books and i think she has a great writing style! Second i had no idea this was a spin off from summer boys, But let me tell you it doesn't matter because this book is Sensational. The characters are so fun loving and you get to know their personalities, also i love how that the book is told from different points of view and that they each have their own special chapters. I think I also got really into Summer Girls because i was reading while tanning on my beach chair feeling like i was part of their special summer!!! Go out Buy, rent, and check out this Book

I give it 4/5 Suns !!

The Diamonds

The diamonds by Ted Michael.....

At Long Islands’s private Bennington School, the Diamonds rule supreme. They’re the girls all the boys want to date and all the girls want to be. And fortunately for Marni, she’s right in the middle of them. Best friends with the ringleader, Clarissa, Marni enjoys all the spoils of the ultrapopular: boys, power, and respect. But then Marni gets a little too close to Clarissa’s ex-boyfriend, Anderson.Wrong move. The Diamonds don’t touch each other’s exes. And just like that, Marni is jettisoned from Diamond to lower than Cubic Zirconia. But Marni isn’t about to take her ouster lying down. She has dirt on the Diamonds, and she’s not about to go down without a fight. Everyone knows, the only thing strong enough to cut a Diamond is another Diamond.

The Diamonds is an elite group at school that are the Beautifully popular at Bennington High. They rein supreme and everyone bows down to them. They come up with a way to have the whole school in the palm of their hands and have all the power. But when cute marni is attracted to Clarissa''s Ex, it is automatic Suicide. NO one ever betrays the diamonds leader clarissa. Marnin must find away to expose what the diamonds really are. This book was well written and makes you realize h0w true this is to our own lives. The characters you can realate to real people and i love the new spin on popularity at its best, or worst! A little slow in the Middle, but otherwise a fun read!

Breathing

Breathing by Cheryl Renee Herbsman....

Savannah would be happy to spend the summer in her coastal Carolina town working at the library and lying in a hammock reading her beloved romance novels. But then she meets Jackson. Once they lock eyes, she’s convinced he’s the one—her true love, her soul mate, a boy different from all the rest. And at first it looks like Savannah is right. Jackson abides by her mama’s strict rules, and stays by her side during a hospitalization for severe asthma, which Savannah becomes convinced is only improving because Jackson is there. But when he’s called away to help his family—and seems uncertain about returning—Savannah has to learn to breathe on her own, both literally and figuratively.

Breathing had some pros and cons that i am not sure i was in love with, or hated. First off the book is written in a southern language( wrong spelling and words like ain't), which really bugged me, yes i am a Grammar freak. Second it drags on and on with a plot that doesn't need to be dragged on. I did like however the Struggle that Savannah has when Jackson is gone, and the love they share. This book is okay... but you have to have a lot of patience with it. I never really wanted to stick with it and read it in one day because it wasn't amazing and didn't keep my attention.

I would give it a 2/5

The Boyfriend Game

The Boyfriend Game by Stephie Davis is all about love on the soccer field.......

I rested the ball on my hip and walked back toward the equipment shed. In the dark.Alone. With a boy.I would be completely freaking out over varsity soccer tryouts if it weren't for th
e new student, Graham, who's helping me practice. He has the most amazing green eyes, curly brown hair, and perfect legs. Plus, we have lots in common, since all we both care about is soccer! Well, that's all he cares about. But my heart beats so fast when we're on the field together . . . and I don't think it's just from all the running around.

The Boyfriend Game is about Trisha who is all about soccer! its her whole world and when she acquires features that draw the boys attention, she thinks nothing of it..... until Graham. Trisha wants to make varsity soccer so badly she doesnt even realize she has bigger problems to worry about. Friends, boys, and soccer.... can they all be in one world?? Overall this was an okay short book! I think it could have been better if the ages were older and more mature. We really don't get to see the characters personalities grow and develop, they are just there. Fun short read, but not amazing.

Sleepaway Girls

Sleepaway girls by Jen Calonita was Fabulous here the synopsis.......

When Sam's best friend gets her first boyfriend, she's not ready to spend the summer listening to the two of them call each other "pookie." Sick of being a third wheel, Sam applies to be a counselor-in-training at Whispering Pines camp in the New York Catskills. But what she doesn't realize is that it's not going to be all Kumbaya sing-alongs and gooey s'mores. If Ashley, the alpha queen of Whispering Pines, doesn't ruin Sam's summer, then her raging crush on the surfer-blond and flirtatious Hunter just might. At least she has playful Cole, who's always teasing her, but is oh-so-comfortable to hang out with, and the singular gang of girls that become fast friends with Sam-they call themselves the Sleepaway Girls.

I absolutely adored this book! I have been to camp so i could relate well! I loved all the characters and thier little quirks. All the camp pranks and activites sounded so cute! The Wrting was cute and relatable, and felt like you were actually at camp. Although romance wasnt that steamy, you automatically fell in love with the boys. Very Cute!!

I give it 4/5 Suns

Welcome!

Welcome to my Blog! Sunshine Edition will be Reviews and News on books i have read! But mostly Reviews. Ill will summarize the book and then give my opinion on it, since that is how a review site works!!

A little bit about me- I am 16 year old girl who absolutely adores reading. I almost always have a book in my hand. I also love a specific genre of books. I call them Chick-flick books. They are teen romance books that are absolutely a guilty pleasure. My favortie spots to read is on a sandy beach, with a bikini, while the SUNSHINE is shining down on me,with my chick flick in my hands.

Hope you like my site. I am working on the layout and it will look super cool once its done!!!

Thanks
