Hush Hush

Hush Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick...

For Nora Grey, romance was not part of the plan. She's never been particularly attracted to the boys at her school, no matter how much her best friend, Vee, pushes them at her. Not until Patch came along. With his easy smile and eyes that seem to see inside her, Nora is drawn to him against her better judgment. But after a series of terrifying encounters, Nora's not sure who to trust. Patch seems to be everywhere she is, and to know more about her than her closest friends. She can't decide whether she should fall into his arms or run and hide. And when she tries to seek some answers, she finds herself near a truth that is way more unsettling than anything Patch makes her feel. For Nora is right in the middle of an ancient battle between the immortal and those that have fallen - and, when it comes to choosing sides, the wrong choice will cost her life.

2 words- Love it! I am seriously addicted to this book now. I know a lot of people have mixed opinions about this book-but i don't! It is fabulous! So much better than Twilight in a milion And this is saying a lot because i loved twilight. I seriously have read the series 10 times. But hush hush blew me away. Not only was the writing spectacular but the plot was so well developed. I loved the idea of the whole fallen angel idea! It was so sexy! Okay now for the characters. Patch was cocky, dark, and so mysterious. I never knew what he was going to do except for send shivers up my spine. Norah was the vulnerable girl who couldn't help but fall for Patch. Unlike certain characters she wasn't weak or defeated. I loved her constant stride and ability to obtain the sense of herself. The plot was spectacular and i never knew what was next! Becca sucked me in and i couldn't put Hush Hush down for the first half of the book! I loved her writing and cant wait for more from her! Hush Hush is a book i will read over and over again! Go out and buy this amazing book now!!

The Accidental Family

The Accidental Family by Rowan Coleman...

Fashionable Sophie Mills was a corporate manager on a fast track to success. Then, in the space of a heartbeat -- the time it takes for a car to crash -- two little girls, Bella and Izzy, her best friend's daughters, change her life forever. Named as guardian in their father's absence, Sophie discovers that the soft touch of a little girl's hand can be far more precious than a closet full of expensive clothes or an exciting job. And when their father Louis returns, the word "family" takes on a whole new significance, as Sophie finds herself deeply attracted to this handsome, mysterious man.

Moving to Cornwall to be with Louis and the girls is a deliriously, frighteningly adventurous start to a whole new life for Sophie. When Louis proposes marriage, Bella and Izzy immediately vault into bridesmaid ecstasy, but Sophie is besieged by doubt. Is marrying Louis, who left one wife before, the natural next step...or a scary mistake? Can she honor her promise to the girls to be there always, forever, whatever? When startling news from Louis's past takes them all by surprise, can these individuals brought together by chance and tragedy make the commitment that a family is forever?

This was the sequel to the Accidental Mother-which was phenomenal. In this book The relationship of Louis and Sophie is explored in more detail. The connection between the two is magical, and Louis's daughters help that happen. The fire between the couple was so much fun to read, i craved their scenes. *Attention:Thier are some implied sex scenes* A couple new Characters are introduced; a baker Carmen who is one hot Tamale and Seth- a mysterious character. These two characters just add to this sensational novel. The setting has moved out of the city into the countryside which adds to the relaxness of the first part of the novel. I kept turning page after page never putting down the action filled and plot twisting novel! I really did enjoy this Adult sequel, and Overall a fantastic read!

The Accidental Mother

The Accidental Mother by Rowan Coleman...

Sophie Mills adores her shoe collection and her job as a corporate party planner in London. Her career is all-consuming, which is fine because she can never make a decision when it comes to men. Just when she is finally about to accept a lunch date, a social worker informs her that her best friend since grade school, Carrie, has died, naming Sophie guardian of her two daughters, six-year-old Bella and three-year-old Izzy. Reluctantly, Sophie agrees to take care of the children until their father, who left three years ago, can be located. How hard can it be to temporarily take care of two girls? And she did promise Carrie, even though she was drunk at the time. Sophie has a lot to learn about children, and by caring for Bella and Izzy, she discovers what it means to be connected to people rather than focused on her next promotion. British author Coleman creates witty and endearing characters and delivers an exceptional and touching read about loss and love

My friend loaned me this book, and at first i was skeptical! I havent really read alot of adult fiction so i was iffy! But It was Amazing! I'm so glad i read The accidental mother. First it is set in London so everything is very Proper. I loved the language (Telly always made me laugh) and the society of London. Second the characters are really relatable. I loved Career-driven Sophie who has a love of shoes. The two little girls were adorable also. Louis was so much fun to read. At first you though he was the bad-boy, and you get to see him develop! Overall such a cute story line that rowan wrote exquisitely. I couldn't put this book down and it was freshly wonderful!

Cupcake Queen

Cupcake Queen by Heather Hepler...

Six months ago, if someone had said the word cupcake, it probably wouldn’t have even registered. I mean, sure, who doesn’t like them? But a whole bakery devoted just to cupcakes? I asked my mother that when she told me. “Nothing else?” She just laughed like it was the funniest thing I’d said all day. I didn’t quite believe it until I saw the man putting the final touches on the lettering on the window: “The Cupcake Queen”.

When she said, “I’m going to open a bakery”, dumb me, I thought she meant in New York. And while it was surprising, I wasn’t really surprised. My mom has always been what she calls “vaguely artistic”. I started to get excited as she talked about the bakery idea. I pictured a tiny shop in Soho that made specialty cakes and got featured in the Food Section of The New York Times. Then she told me the bakery wasn’t going to be in the City at all, but out here. Here, in Hog’s Hollow, where they actually crown a Hog Queen every fall.

I First fell in love with the book when i saw the cover. The cover is to die for and i can resist but pick it up. As an avid sugar lover i knew this book was going to be a hit. Although i never really read younger YA novels, This one sure didn't disappoint. I loved the whole cupcake theme. Every aspect was delicious! Also the relationships penny has with her mom, Grandma, Best friend, and cute boy next door. I love how she finally pushed the seal with her mom, and that her best friend is the total opposite. The only thing more i wanted out of this book was romance! One lonely kiss at the end wasn't enough for me! Too Cute for words!

The Treasure Map of Boys

The Treasure Map of Boys By E. Lockhart...

Ruby is back at Tate Prep, and it’s her thirty-seventh week in the state of Noboyfriend. Her panic attacks are bad, her love life is even worse, and what’s more: Noel is writing her notes, Jackson is giving her frogs, Gideon is helping her cook, and Finn is making her brownies. Rumors are flying, and Ruby’s already-sucky reputation is heading downhill. Not only that, she’s also: running a bake sale, learning the secrets of heavymetal therapy, encountering some seriously smelly feet, defending the rights of pygmy goats, and bodyguarding Noel from unwanted advances. In this companion novel to The Boyfriend List and The Boy Book, Ruby struggles to secure some sort of mental health, to understand what constitutes a real friendship, and to find true love—if such a thing exists.

I remeber reading the first book-the boyfriend list- in seventh grade. that was 3 years ago! I fell in love with ruby then, and this book just continues to grow on me! I love how lockhart writes with the odd yet totally relavent writing. The main characters are to die for. Ruby is just as boy crazy as ever while the boys develp new sides to them, some good some bad. I love how they develop and how ruby finds herself within. The school is drama filled as ever which gives a great setting! With friends, thearapists, parents, and BOYS, the Treasure Map of boys doesnt dissapoint! Such a fun read! Cover: I didnt get it until i read the book, but after that i liked it more!

It's Not You It's Me

Its not You Its me by Kerry Cohen Hoffmann...

Plot: Funny and touching—this is a heartfelt breakup story.Zoe loves Henry.Henry dumps Zoe.Zoe wants Henry back—at any cost.Zoe’s two best friends come up with a plan to help Zoe get what she thinks she wants. The plan: make Henry jealous. But the plan takes a surprising turn. . . .Spanning thirty-one days in the cycle of a breakup, Kerry Cohen Hoffmann’s humorous and poignant novel depicts a girl whose single-minded focus on her ex-boyfriend has pulled her far from the person she most needs to win back—herself.

Review: Throughout this book my spine just twisted. Why oh why is this girl so dependent on a boy. Its the classic novel of a sad pathetic breakup. Zoe, the main character, just cant seem to get over him. She is clingy, and borderline crazy obsessed. I thought that this novel would be different in a sort of self discovery way, but no its just the same as all the others. Very light! Cover: much more cute than the book! I am in love with this!!

Once was lost

Once was lost by Sara Zarr...
Samara Taylor used to believe in miracles. She used to believe in a lot of things. As a pastor's kid, it's hard not to buy in to the idea of the perfect family, a loving God, and amazing grace. But lately, Sam has a lot of reason to doubt. Her mother lands in rehab after a DUI and her father seems more interested in his congregation than his family. When a young girl in her small town is kidnapped, the local tragedy overlaps with Sam's personal one, and the already-worn thread of faith holding her together begins to unravel.

I was expecting so much from sara Zarr, Unfortunately i didnt get it. The book had a good concept that could have been played out beautifully, Execpt it didnt. Radom characters were placed throughout the whole book. and the girl that was lost you never really got the conncection to how it played a role in Samara's Life. Also it bugged me that their was a boy throughout the novel, except he really did not play an important role. I mean why would'nt you put a little romance in there! Girls, especially me, love that junk!I did on the other hand like the interactions with her parents. Her dad is the minister of her church and has this perfect role, when actually he is unstable and secluded. Her mom, who is trying to keep up the "perfect wife" is in a rehab center. I was skeptical at first about the religious aspect, but it worked actually. By having religion be part of a community helped the story line. I did not bug me that it wasnt my religion because it wasnt overly used. The setting also helped this book. With a dry climate and small town, it just worked. Not a bad read. Love the Cover
